From contractor shell to custom fit for luxury cinema
Since 2018 we have been working with Everyman to help redefine cinema. Our recent project was a full custom refit situated in the vibrant and new London destination, Borough Yards.
This highly anticipated development in Borough Market, London Bridge was given to us as purely a contractor’s shell. We were given 12 weeks to transform the space into a luxury cinema that perfectly encapsulates the look and feel of Everyman.
This involved two new cinema screens being safely transported through the lift shaft down to basement level using a full birdcage scaffold to both auditoria, elaborate WC installation and design, a new trade kitchen and state of the art plant room for services including a bar and kitchen prep area. For the front of house we added a welcoming entrance lobby and new passenger lift installation all with a high specification finish.
Throughout the project, we had to comply with the main developers of Borough Yard who were fitting out the remaining units. Stringent health and safety measures were put in place to allow us to work alongside each other and meet our deadlines safely.
